“I STAND WITH RAYE; ENOUGH OF LIP SERVICES” – ABAYOMI MIGHTY SLAMS TINUBU

Abayomi Mighty has publicly expressed support for Raye, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who recently criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, describing it as “terrible.”

Abayomi commended Raye’s courage, stating that she embodies the resilience and frustration that many Nigerians experience daily amid escalating economic hardships. He emphasized that pervasive hunger and widespread discontent could serve as catalysts for political change in the 2027 elections, which will lead to the ousting of the current administration and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Abayomi has urged the NYSC to uphold Raye’s fundamental human rights, as enshrined in Chapter IV of the Nigerian Constitution, which guarantees freedoms such as expression and personal liberty.

Abayomi draws a parallel line between Raye and Senator Natasha Akpoti’s advocacy for social justice, he encouraged the NYSC to view Raye’s outburst as a sincere expression of distress rather than a transgression warranting punitive measures. He suggested that the organization, NYSC, should provide support to Raye, acknowledging her grievances as reflective of the broader societal challenges faced by many Nigerians.

Abayomi also called on the federal government to honor its commitment to increase the monthly allowances of corps members to ₦77,000, he criticized the continued delays as mere lip service.

Abayomi Mighty urged Nigerians to maintain their resolve for change as the 2027 elections approach. He expressed his readiness to serve and advocate for policies that address the pressing issues confronting the nation.
